Learning with and about Technology

I'm Jay Pfaffman, an instructional techology professor at the University of Tennessee. If you are interested in studying instructional technology here, please see the ITHES web site.

Here you can find out about my courses and research. I also post in the news that relates to schools and technology. The rants section discusses things bug me and, as such, should become things that I do research about to try to fix. I enter some pages here as blog pages, which are sort of like news or rants except that they're probably not fully developed ideas. Finally, there's a section called ideas that's just quick little ideas that, hopefully, students or other collaborators will see and be interested on working on. Look here for ideas for projects that you might do for my (or other people's) classes.

New Student Blog site (sort of) set up

I set up Drupal over on Student.occ.utk.edu. My intention is to have this be a place that tech students can post news and stuff. We'll see how it works. I'll probably make my TECH 521 students post stuff there.

I don't even have decent categories set up there yet, but if you're interested in helping to run it, let me know and I'll make you an admin.
